While Minnestoa Log Cabin Republicans are very dissapointed with the Minnesota GOP for support the amendment to ban same-sex marriage, we are thankful for the “Fantastic Four,” the four Republican members of the Minnesota GOP House Caucus who voted against the amendment. Below is a speech given by one of those Four, John Kriesel urging the body to vote against the amendment. It is a moving speech and it gives us hope. Thank you, Rep. Kriesel.

Rep. Kriesel is from my district, and I am proud of his principled stand on this amendment (even though I don’t agree with very many of his other political positions).
Thank you Rep. Kriesel for defending the liberty of “We the People” in our Constitutional Republic in your support for an individual’s fundamental right to marry the person she or he chooses.
